Indrani Mukherjee bids farewell to India’s First Superstar
|I am very sad to learn of Rajesh Khanna’s passing. I was Rajesh Khanna’s heroine in his first released movie Aakhri Khat. He was a real super star and one of my favourite co-stars. I am reading My Magical Palace written by Kunal Mukherjee, my sister’s son who is very close to my heart and is a superb writer. While reading My Magical Palace I was fascinated to find out that the super star idol of the boy Rahul, the main character, is Rajesh Khanna. The character Rahul is torn between the two worlds of his adoration of Rajesh Khanna and his Indian culture and expectations. The beginning of the book is engrossing and I have not been able to put it down. I am still reading and just want to finish the book want to know the end.
